A few words from Gary: 

Earlier this week, I (Gary) managed (with considerable effort) to climb out of bed on the wrong side.  As Anne left for work, we parted with an uncomfortable lack of resolution, unusual for us.  

I then opened my email and found the following story.  I had to read it two or three times (a true projection of my blocked space) before I finally received its message.  

It is reported that during World War II the admiral of a battleship at sea got word of a blip on the radar screen coming steadily and speedily in his direction. The officer gave the order to the unidentified vessel. 

"Please change your course."

The reply: "YOU change your course." 

The officer retorted: "I repeat. I am an admiral. Please change your course." 

The response returned, "I am a seaman third class. Change your direction." 

The officer bellowed: "I am a battleship. Alter your course!" 

The answer: "Change YOUR course! I am a lighthouse!"

 The timely sender of this message was Rev.
