A few
words from Anne and Gary: |
We are pleased with your
desire to share your experiences and creativity with other
caregivers. We welcome your submissions in all types of
media (written, photos, art work, etc.) If you wish, we
will assist you with your writing.
If we use your submission,
we will offer you a COLLECTING CONSORT (our music ensemble
providing music for healing and transition) recording of your
choice. To see descriptions of our recording titles go to:

To assist in submitting
your material, we have prepared the following suggestions.
We value and recognize
your time and personal attachment to your creativity. Therefore, if you have
not already composed your submission, we invite you to contact us and
discuss your piece prior to writing it. We can provide some
guidelines and suggestions which will increase the probability that
your creation(s) will be used.

We also want you to be
aware of the possibility that we will edit your submission in order to
make it more suitable for our format.
If you are concerned
about your ability to express yourself well with your writing, but feel
you have something important to share, please submit your writing
anyway, and we will use our editing skills to make your piece more
readable.
We will submit any
revisions to you for your final approval before including them in the
CAREGIVER COMPANION web site.
We ask that you follow these writing
guidelines and avoid using the pronoun "YOU".
Instead, use "I" and/or "WE".
Our readers will find it easier to accept things if writers write from a
personal perspective of what they have experienced ("I / We
found the challenge very satisfying").
Advice giving in the form of "YOU"
statements ("You should do this because you will feel satisfied)
assume that everyone experiences things from the same
perspective.
